I'm leaving lots of lovely friends behind when I go travelling in 3 weeks. I wanted to give my girls something to remember me by and to say thank you for guiding me through a very transitional period. I wouldn't be so happy and fulfilled if it weren't for them. Of course I have lots of male friends who've also helped, but I doubt they'd appreciate a heart!! Making process below; finished heart photos to follow.

Arcade Fire, Hyde Park

Amazing day, amazing music, amazing stylist. Regine and Win love....

She wore a stunning cap sleeve, white dress with shots of colour across it. He wore the most amazing denim shirt with sew on badges, striped panels and bleached areas. They have similar outfits on in a publicity shot at the bottom. Must find out who styles them! My new idols!

Leaving presents

So it's almost the end of term and I'm leaving the school I teach textiles at to go travelling for a year. I had a sad day today saying goodbye to some of my classes- I have loved teaching there and will miss the students. I was overwhelmed by the gifts and cards I received. See photos:

Wikstenmade s/s 11

I love Jenny Gordy's new styles, available here. She has created a lot of Dolman-sleeve styles; very simple to pattern draft, yet stunning to wear in the silk fabric and ikat prints she has chosen. I love the blouse above- I've been wearing shirts buttoned all the way to the collar for a while, sometimes with a black bootlace/ ribbon. I love this design as it has a swing style when worn loose. Did you spot the framed log cabin patchwork in the first photo? Love!
