Wrapover dress pdf pattern giveaway
I've been designing some vintage dresses based on 1950s garments and sewing patterns. This is a wrap over dress that fastens at the waist with a button. It's really easy to make and I will be launching a pdf pattern on Etsy in the next few weeks. I will be giving away 3 patterns. Comment below to enter the giveaway!
Featherweight
My lovely mum bought me a singer featherweight yesterday- totally spoilt and totally in love! The attachments are awesome and make easy work of fine details like binding and edge stitching lace. Can't wait to start a project using this beauty!

Playing with patchwork
It's been a while since I did any patchwork and quilting, but I've been bitten by the bug again this weekend!!
I used up some paper pieced stars (made from Tula Pink and Kaffe Fassett) to make these two pouches:
I tried out some HSTs to make this small flying geese quilt top (not sure what to make it into yet!):
And finally, I used up the scraps to make this random piece that I may make into another pouch:
Plus, I got this bargain collection of Tula Pink fabrics on sale, when I should've been shopping for necessities!!

Cutting on a 1/2 scale stand
Played around with some vintage-inspired wrap-around styles on the stand yesterday. Created four garments in under an hour- so quick and easy on a 1/2 scale mannequin! Look out for some of these in vintage fabrics in the next few months!!

Recent makes
I recently made a little African wax print bear for my mum's birthday and a drawstring bag for my grandmother's Christmas present. I'd had a break from sewing, after making lots of panto costumes, and realise now how much I've missed it!
