New Helena Skirt
I have just completed another pleated skirt in needle-cord for the Autumn/ Fall. I have christened it the 'Helena' skirt after a lovely friend of mine who is emigrating to the States this month :( This is the pattern that will be available on BurdaStyle shortly.
Do you think I should add pockets? In cord or a contrasting fabric?

Custom Dress #3
School started again this week, so I have had to prep for that rather than work on any projects. I have finally finished the toile/ muslin for the custom dress I am making, though. I am about to send this off to L, so that she can fit it and let me know what needs adapting. From the photos, I can already see the mid-section needs to be pulled in vertically at the the centre front to replicate the original. I'm so excited to see how this looks on a body- the mannequin really doesn't do the shape justice.
BurdaStyle Skirt Pattern
Thanks so much to everyone who left a positive comment about this- I was really touched! Well, the pattern will be posted on BurdaStyle in a couple of weeks, but with a twist... I'm useless at keeping secrets, but I'm going to try hard to this time! Keep checking back- I will tell you my secret around the 18th September.

New BurdaStyle Free Pattern Download
I am considering offering a limited run of free downloads for this skirt on BurdaStyle. Would anyone be interested in using it? It will also be available to purchase as a hard copy in my Etsy shop. I made this skirt for the summer and lived in it! I have bought some gorgeous, soft needlecord to make a winter version that, Im sure, will be equally popular!
